In the museum's café we serve sweet and savoury food as well as hot and cold drinks, inviting visitors to stay and relax after a visit to the museum or a walk through the Schiffbauergasse. Theatergoers may also like to meet friends here before a theatre visit, or to relax for a short time during the intermission. Inside the winter garden it is possible to sit close to the banks of the Havel, even on cold and rainy days. When the sun is shining the terrace offers a splendid view over Park Babelsberg.

Selected events regularly take place in individual spaces in the museumscafé, the museumsshop or the filmraum (film room). For music lovers, FLUXUS+Livemusik takes place on Sundays in the museum foyer or in the open air on the terrace.

The museum’s rooms can also be rented for outside events such as workshops, press conferences, champagne receptions, incentive events or private parties. And if course it is possible to spill out into the café area with conservatory or the summer terrace. Because of their central location in the building, events of this kind make an ideal starting point for tours of the museum’s exhibition programme.

The museum café is open Wednesday - Sunday 1 pm – 6 pm
